We are the creators and formulators behind Cabela. Through our own collective curly hair journey, spanning over 8 years, we recognised a need in New Zealand for products for textured hair (curly, wavy, and coily) that are otherwise unattainable or difficult to source in New Zealand with the luxury curl care that textured hair needs.

We had a shared frustration in finding a range that inspired everything we wanted and needed in curl care, a range that would help us to feel confident in our naturally textured waves. We wanted to create something we could share with our curl community and decided to act on our passion to help bring confidence to curl friends just like us.

We have been in the making for over two years, researching and formulating to ensure we deliver a brand that is not the same as the rest, but purposeful, innovative, and inspiring to curl individuality. We manufacture and formulate ourselves here in New Zealand.
